The Flaming Lips Share Psychedelic Collaboration With Miley Cyrus [Watch]

first_imgThe Flaming Lips is releasing a new album, Oczy Mlody, due out next week on January 13th. The psychedelic rock band hasn’t released a full length album since their 2014 Beatles tribute, With A Little Help From My Fwends, and hasn’t released original music since The Terror in 2013. So the coming of Wayne Coyne and company’s new project is that much more exciting. They’ve released a few songs so far, the most recent of which hinted at collaborations with Miley Cyrus. The Flaming Lips appeared on her 2015 surprise album as her Dead Petz, and the music for the Lips’ new “Sunrise (Eyes of the Young)” is extremely similar to Cyrus’s “The Floyd Song (Sunrise)” from their collaborative album. Today’s lyrical video confirms her contributions to the album with the newest release of “We a Famly”. Powered by Firework Serie A has always been a place of regular racial abuse, and Mario Balotelli has always been a regular victim. Opposition fans have thrown monkey chants at the Brescia forward numerous times, and the recent slurs in the game against Hellas Verona pushed him enough to walk off the pitch. But, he gave a rigid reply to the racist supporters with a late minute screamer!Advertisement Image Courtesy: EPA/Serie AYesterday’s match at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in Verona saw the home fans jeering at the Italian international. By the 53rd minute, the supporters were hoarding up whistles and monkey chants towards Balotelli, as the forward picked up the ball mid game and kicked it towards the stands, before deciding to leave the match. Here’s a clip of the incident below, tweeted by Yahoo Sports writer Henry Bushnell. However, the support team and players from both sides came forward to console a vexed Balotelli, as match referee Maurizio Mariani halted the game for four minutes to announce against the jeering. The 29 year old resumed the match,  and in the 85th minute scored an absolute striking out of the box goal. Befetting reply in the face of racism.
