Participating in the celebrations, Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao said that Vikram Dev Verma, who was a scholar, poet and patriot, strived hard to develop Visakhapatnam as an educational hub. Speaking on the occasion, Mayank Kumari Deo recalled Vikram Dev Verma’s steps to promote art and literature in Visakhapatnam. Invitees at the ceremony said that Vikram Dev Verma was a prolific writer and wrote books in Odia, English, Hindi and Telugu.
